Hmmm. Skyline Vs RX7 eh? I'm guessing your referring to the FD3S...

In a drag like straight line acceleration... The Skyline wins purely with the the 4WD layout giving heaps of traction on launch or take off. The RX-7 being a Rotary doesn't have that low down punch that the Skyline has, the power for the Rotary even with the turbo is mid - high in the rev range while the Skyline is all over the place.

As for Touge, it depends, the RX-7 is more suitable I'd imagine because of the lightweight and RWD layout but the Skyline is a beast , so its equal there really, I'd use both depeneding on opponent and the Touge I'm racing on.

Drift? Well I'd not use a GT-R thats for sure, I'd use either the GTS-T or GT-T. The RX-7 is actually quite annoying to setup for drift, the engine is fine with some tuning you get mid range power and torque however you've got to work on the sussy tuning very hard to get a decent result. You can however pickup Coilovers or a Shock/Spring combo that's already setup for the RX-7. If your starting from stratch like I did, its hell! Blame it on the chasis which tends to be neutral which isn't what you really want for drift.

Circuit? Hmmm... Skyline has more potential as proven in the GT500 however thats not to say the RX-7 on the track is no good, far from it actually! For the Tuner Battles and like base entry levels, you'll find the RX-7 toe to toe with the Skyline, you see the philosophy betweent he 2 cars are quite different. Skyline is a TT, 4WD Beast with excellent grip and traction where as the RX-7 is a monster on the corners, the amount of speed and the precision you clear the corners is amazing, at the end of the day its all about the driver!

Oh and I never doubt you know about drift, nor have I ever doubted you've watched it, its all different when you get into the ACTUAL tuning and be the driver to drift. Knowledge in cars get you somewhere, experience is quite another, I hope you get to experience it soon!
